Photo Reconnaissance
The need for up-to-date critical intelligence for military operations fell to a small but significant group of pilots in the Photo Reconnaissance Units (PRUs). Flying for many hours, unarmed and often alone deep into enemy territory, these brave pilots suffered a high casualty rate and have largely gone unrecognised due to the nature of their work.
