Our Projects
With the help of our generous supporters, volunteers, and funders, we engage thousands of people through our innovative projects, providing opportunities to explore the legacy of the people, architecture, and heritage of the two World Wars.
Our projects encourage participation from a wide range of individuals, communities, and partners. We actively involve young people through our work with schools, colleges, universities, and a variety of youth groups.
We aim to inspire everyone we connect with to learn more about the CWGC and increase their understanding and appreciation of the relevance of its role - both today and in the future.
Our staff and volunteers are passionate about sharing the narratives of the men and women who are commemorated in cemeteries and on memorials worldwide and, by ‘keeping their stories alive’, we ensure their legacy is not forgotten.

The Foundation Speakers & Tour Guides Programme
A CWGF grant enables the placing of carefully curated stories into selected Commonwealth War Graves cemeteries in Europe for key times of year, using high-quality temporary signs.

Thanks to an incredible donation, we have been able to beautifully illuminate the Runnymede Memorial, commemorating 28,000 Commonwealth air service personnel of the Second World War.
