Fundraise for the CWGF with Facebook

Do you have a birthday coming up? Why not make it more meaningful this year by asking for donations to the Commonwealth War Graves Foundation instead of gifts? 

With Facebook, it’s easy to set up a Birthday Fundraiser and share it with your friends and family. Every donation helps us preserve the memory of those who served and ensure their stories live on. 

How to set up your Facebook Birthday Fundraiser 

Around your birthday, Facebook may prompt you to start a fundraiser – or you can begin at any time by searching "Fundraisers" on Facebook.

  1. Select Commonwealth War Graves as your chosen charity  
  2. Set your fundraising target and end date – we recommend 4 to 6 weeks to keep up momentum
  3. Customise your page with a personal message, a title, and photos to tell your supporters why CWGF matters to you
  4. Share with your Facebook friends and post updates to your page

Your friends will also be able to leave you a birthday message when they donate.  

Did you know that you can also add offline donations to your total? Although this means the donation won’t be paid through Facebook, your total will be up to date. Please contact the CWGF Team on supporters@cwgc.org to arrange paying in these offline donations.  

Please note that the CWGF will receive donations from Facebook through PayPal Giving Fund and that you may be asked to cover processing fees.
